Aim

To fulfill their mission, educators need not only to be well-trained in their study field but also to inspire through their vision for Education. It is, therefore, necessary to provide pedagogical knowledge, practical teaching experience, methods and skills (cognitive, social, communicative and metacognitive) during and after the completion of their studies, in order to effectively respond to the multidisciplinary teaching, social and cultural work in education. In view of the above, basic education for teachers covers at least two areas: a) training in science or sciences at least in relation to the cognitive texts taught at school (specialization) in both Primary and Secondary Education, b) pedagogical training and practical training, with reference to the fields of “school environment and class environment”, “teaching process and student” (in the broad sense of the term “vocational training”). Within this framework, artistic and cultural education is included in its various forms. The challenge of current educational framework is to set up structures as well as to revise/rephrase legislative arrangements that address comprehensive proposals, giving teachers and actors the opportunity to develop arguments for democratic education, presuming the necessity of a definitive solution to time-consuming educational deadlocks.

The conference provides an international and clearly interdisciplinary platform for speakers and participants. Within the scope of the conference, we hope to host researchers, practitioners and participants from diverse background and provide room for debate, reflection and the exchange of experience and good practice through new developments, educational approaches and achievements. We aim to bring together researchers and professionals, encourage intellectual development and provide opportunities for networking and collaboration. A secondary aim would be to provide an environment for free exchange of ideas that will lead to the improvement of the quality of teaching-learning process and sustainability in education. The Organizing Committee welcomes all participants; researchers, academics, educators, teaching staff and postgraduates students, higher education institutions and related agents for teaching and training in professional skills.

The conference will offer participants the opportunity to enjoy two days full of insight and inspiration sharing by education pioneers, policy makers and education experts. We are pleased to offer the program for 2020 which includes workshops, keynote speakers, research presentations and opportunities for learning at intercultural crossroads.
